HTML <thead> Tag

HTML

The <thead> tag is used to group header content of a table.

HTML <thead> Tag

The <thead> element defines a set of rows by defining the column headings of the table.

The <thead> element must be placed after any <caption> and <colgroup> elements, and before any <thead>, <tbody>, and <tr> elements in the HTML table.

The <thead> element does not affect the layout of the table but is useful for applying CSS.

The <thead> element must contain one or more <tr> elements.

Global attributes

Global attributes may be applied on all elements, although some elements may have no effect on them.

<accesskey>, <class>, <contenteditable>, <contextmenu>, <data-*>, <dir>, <draggable>, <dropzone>, <hidden>, <id>, <lang>, <spellcheck>, <style>, <tabindex>, <title>, <translate>.
